El Espin

From Illustrated Concept to Dynamic Animation

"El Espin" is a project born out of my fascination with a passage from Michel Houellebecq's The Elementary Particles. Initially conceived as an illustrated book, the project evolved into a vibrant animation, brought to life through collaboration with animator Maru Aparicio.

The story explores the emotional and philosophical depth present in Houellebecq’s text, with each frame intricately crafted to capture the essence of the narrative. The animation was showcased at The Córdoba Art Market in 2016, where it was met with critical acclaim for its blend of illustration and motion.
