El Espin began as a visual response to a single passage from The Elementary Particles by Michel Houellebecq. Not a direct adaptation, but an act of appropriation, the line sparked an idea that evolved into a personal project.

Initially conceived as a picture book (libro ilustrado), it gradually shifted toward motion and experimentation. I created the illustrations and collaborated informally with filmmaker Maru Aparicio, who animated the piece in After Effects. While it remained a playful exercise, it offered a glimpse into the emotional atmosphere that inspired it.

Exhibited at the Córdoba Art Market, 2016.
